In honor of the raccoon I stumbled upon while taking out the recycling this evening. This guy has like 30 (mesmerizing) videos of his “pet” raccoon. It seems that God has combined the worst parts of having a cat and a dog, and I guess also a rat. (Watch out for naughty language).

Did you know that the raccoon, in most languages, is named for its proclivity for washing things? The German “Waschbar”, or Italian “orsetto lavatore,” or even its scientific name, Procyon lotor, lotor being Latin for washer. Procyon, evidently, meaning “pre-dog.”
